"As a child, I was known for my curly hair. It was part of how people recognised me.
When I began medication and later radiotherapy, my texture started to change. It became thinner and more fragile, and I began losing hair. Hair is who we are as women.
Being in the industry, I had tried many different types of extensions before and after a few negative experiences, I stopped trusting them.
When I first sat in Yovanka's chair, my hair wasn't in a good place. With extensions, it was incredible to have thick hair again. But more than that, they were invisible. No one knew unless I told them, and I wanted to tell them.
