Do I need to be a qualified hair stylist?

Yes! Due to the nature of our custom colouring and application methods, our Education Courses require stylists to be qualified or at minimum a 4th year apprentice.

How long is the course and where is it held?

Our In-Salon Education includes a 6-week online pre-training component, followed by a full day of intensive, hands-on training with a YL Educator. Yovanka Loria Education is based in Adelaide, South Australia, with a network of experienced YL Educators located across Australia, making it easy to access in-person support wherever you are.

What support will I receive after the course?

We're committed to your long-term success beyond the training day. With our In-Salon Education Package, you'll receive a 6-month follow-up check in with the YL Education team for advice, support and guidance as well as access to exclusive digital resources, including training videos, marketing tools and ongoing updates.

What level of business do I need to be at?

YL Education is designed for stylists at all levels, who are open to growth and learning. If you're new to the extensions industry our training will place you in a position to succeed without burnout. For seasoned extensions artists, this course will help you achieve the income, schedule, and goals of your dreams.

Can I purchase YL Extensions without completing the training?

Our education ensures every stylist is confident and skilled in applying and customising our extensions to the highest standard. For this reason, access to YL Extensions is exclusively available to stylists who have completed our certified training.

Can I start with the online certification and join an in-person class later?

Yes! Our Online Certification with 1:1 Mentor package gives you the flexibility to upgrade to an in-person class at any time, allowing you to continue advancing your skills when you're ready. Plus, we'll be releasing more online education soon - so you'll have even more opportunities to grow at your own pace.

Do you offer training on your method only?

Yes! We offer exclusive education packages, including our Online Method Application Only option - designed for stylists who want to elevate their skills by mastering our Hidden Bead Method.This training focuses solely on application technique and does not include access to YL Extensions.
